I tried to paint Icarus in a futuristic setting. I like the colors, but looking back at this piece after studying the brillant matte paintings at this CG site, I realize that I'm missing atmosphere in the piece, not to mention my unnaturally forced perspective. I thought about fixing this piece, but I think moving forward would be better. This site is so cool, I'm glad I joined, because it exposes you to the wonderful talent in the CG community and helps you open your mind and your imagination.
