This is my entry for the Steam Punk Myth/Legend Challenge. I went through the whole gamut of ideas before I chose Alice. I considered King Arthur and Lancelot, Lady of Shalott, and Joan of Arc. In the end I decided a huge mechanical caterpillar populated with characters would be more fun. I really enjoyed doing this piece and I tried to pay careful attention to the lighting and color.
